About Us

In 1976, Peter and Margaret James were encouraged by Margaret’s brothers Robert, John, Peter and Bruce Neumann to relocate from Melbourne to the Gold Coast to begin a sand mining business. Exploring land near the Logan River at Carbrook, they took samples of the sand and dried them in their kitchen oven to test the grading of the sand. Satisfied with the results, they worked with the local council to rezone the land and River Sands Pty Ltd was founded with the Easy Mix product range started a few years later.

Since then, the business has continually expanded and now offers approximately 2000 products for several key industry segments such as landscaping, concrete colouring, mining and civil support, renders, concrete coating and water treatment.

Designed with performance, convenience and quality in mind, our range of premixed building products are ideal for both the professional tradesperson and the DIY homeowner.

From concrete, cement and mortar to our specialty sands, the range of products meet the requirements of many different applications.

Quality assured and premixed, the products are easy to transport to and from job sites, to store and easy to use with minimal mess, compared to traditional methods of sourcing individual components and mixing on site.
