Our premixed concrete is what got us into the business – right after selecting, sourcing and dredging sands of course. Our specialist knowledge has led us to create industry-preferred builders’ premix concrete to save you time, money, and supplies.
Post Mix concrete – everything you need to know
Our pre-bagged formula is especially designed to set around fencing and metal rods. We’ve made the perfect product for small, non-structural jobs. Basically, our solution has got you covered for functions that are not load-bearing or jobs that require a smooth surface finish.
Using builders’ Post Mix concrete
Our Post Mix is easy to use, whether you’ve been building for five minutes or five decades. It’s the perfect solution to have on hand whenever you need to set fence posts in your yard or commercial site.
If you’re not convinced that it’s a simple process to use our formula, here are our steps to follow. You’ll be ready to mix in no time at all.
Step 1 – Assemble your tools
Make sure that you have enough pre-mixed cement concrete and water on hand. The ratio of mixture to water is easily printed on our bags for your reference, so you’ll be ready to get started.
Also gather your mixing tools and bucket, if you need one.
Step 2 – Make the mixture
First, take the pole and place it into a pre-dug hole. Fill this hole with concrete, before pouring in water halfway to the brim.
Either pour directly from the bag into the hole at the base of your pole or into the bucket, depending on your application needs. You want to make sure the hole or container is full to the brim.
Step 3 – Minor tweaks
At this stage, you can either apply the original concrete mix on any cracks or repairs with a trowel or make additional minor adjustments in order to ensure a perfect and stress-free finish.
Applying the wet method
When it comes to setting your concrete, you might be weighing up between using the dry or wet method. We recommend using the wet method, as this will give you a superior result and a higher level of compressive strength. All you need to do is mix with water before you place the posts.
As always, our team is also on hand should you have any further need tips and assistance, or have any further questions. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us today.
